NEVILLE
LLOYD-PARTON, Private, 7th Battalion, King’s
Shropshire Light Infantry, came to the school from Newport
(Salop) Grammar School in September 1896 and left in December
1899.
For six years he was with Messrs. Mander Bros., and then
went to Berne, Switzerland, as a teacher of English in the
Berlitz school.
He next went to Wismar, on the Baltic coast of Germany,
and when he returned to England was in business successively at
Birmingham, Barrow-in-Furness and Manchester.
In March 1916 he joined the 9th Battalion of
the King’s Shropshire Light Infantry.
Transferred to the 7th Battalion, he went to
France in July and was killed in action on November 13th.
He was aged 34.
