IB History: ActiveHistory

An ActiveHistory subscription provides everything you need to construct and deliver a two-year IBDP History course from start to finish using the ActiveHistory IB History Hub.

These consist not just of lesson plans, worksheets and teacher notes, but also multimedia lectures and interactive games and historical simulations ideal for remote learning and self-study.

1.	The Palestinian Diaspora A worksheet of questions to help students understand the fate of the Palestinians between 1948-1973. A good review exercise. There is also a completed teacher version.
2.	The Palestinian Diaspora: Quiz To test understanding following completion of the previous worksheet.
3.	The Yom Kippur War A series of structured questions to help students make sense of the causes, course and consequence of the Yom Kippur War. There is also a completed teacher version.
4.	"Fill the Gaps" Quiz: The Yom Kippur War There is also a completed teacher version available.
5.	Research Task: Nixon, Kissinger, Meir, Sadat, Brezhnev These five characters are very fascinating in themselves; and as they may well be quoted in the sourcework paper, it makes sense to have a little to say about each one.
6.	Camp David Accords A research project.
7.	Sourcework examination: The Yom Kippur War and its Aftermath An exercise to develop sourcework skills in the style of the IB examination. There are also some model answers available.
8.	"Who Am I?" Challenge - The Middle East 1939-79 Each team will be presented with a clue about a key historical figure. They get 50 points if they guess it correctly. If they wish to 'pass', they get further (easier) clues but the points available steadily decline. An incorrect guess at any point means they get zero points for that round. You can play as many rounds as you wish. It's a great way to revise!
