QR Code Generator for Classroom “Treasure Hunts”

This new tool allows teachers to create “Treasure Hunt” challenges based on QR codes.

You can create your own QR Treasure Hunt by simply providing a list of questions and answers. You can even go back and edit it later if you like.

This program will then dynamically create QR codes for each question which can then be put on display around the classroom / school for students to answer.

Keyword checker: A tool for developing essay skills

I’ve been getting fed up with my IB students not incuding all of the topic keywords / terms in their essays.
So I’ve just finished writing this program which checks how many keywords have been included with the click of a button.
I’ll be encouraging students to run their essays through this before handing them in.

Feel free to make use of it (and any suggestions for improvements are welcome)!

This new template allows you to create fictional “status updates” that can then be printed off for display purposes. Students could be asked

* What are the most important people in this topic?
* What was their most important moment within the topic?
* What would their comment be about it?
* What particular keywords would they use within their comment?
* What hashtag could they maybe use at the end of the message?
* What nickname did they have / could we invent to use as their username?

Three people in the class will be in role as members of the UN. They will have vote later on which of the proposals presented to them is the most likely to bring lasting peace to the region. The other members of the class are in role as Arabs & Jews. Each pair of people within these two groups needs to produce a partition proposal for the region. Using map resources they decide how to divide the region into Jewish, Palestinian, and International zones. These plans are then presented to the UN, who will vote on the best plan.
